Step back into the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s royal heritage with our Kandyan Nilame & Menike Dressing Session, a cultural experience that brings the elegance of the Kandyan Kingdom to life. Guided by an experienced instructor and costume expert, participants learn about the history, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind the traditional Nilame (male) and Menike (female) attire. The 2.5–3 hour session offers a hands-on dressing experience, allowing guests to be adorned in intricately crafted garments, complete with mul anduma (sash), headdresses, and traditional jewelry. Throughout the session, the instructor explains the significance of each piece while offering optional cultural music or performances to enhance the ambiance. Guests can capture memorable photos, fully immersing themselves in the pride, grace, and ceremonial splendor of Sri Lanka’s royal courts.
